Walter Graziani

My name is Walter Graziani. I was born in 1944 in Tuscany, in a town called "Greve in Chianti," famous for its fine wine. As a child, I was sad, intelligent, and a rebel against conventions, always with a book in hand, a love for drawing, and a dream of becoming a drummer.

In my youth, I turned that dream into a profession. I played as a drummer in Italy and later on a cruise ship sailing from New York to the Caribbean for about a year. Afterward, I lived in London, where I performed with an Italian band on the famous TV show "International Cabaret."

Despite my love for music, I felt a need to explore other worlds my soul desired. This eventually led me to study photography, make a pivotal turn in my life, and immigrate to Israel. After many years here, having married and raised a family, I grew, evolved, and worked in the field of photography for a long time.

In the year 2000, driven by a desire for personal empowerment, I enrolled in studies of Jin Shin, Acupressure, Healing, and Tao. Simultaneously, I felt a powerful urge to create and paint with oil paints in vivid colors.

One day, during a practice session at school, I was asked to serve as the lead healer. During that treatment, I felt something shift within me. The mask of Anubis was placed upon my head, upon my face. It was a powerful and strange moment. I allowed the experience to unfold and felt myself becoming an Egyptian priest. It was a moment of deep emotional transcendence I had never experienced before. There, my heart opened to new adventures... the adventures of Anubis.

This spiritual opening unleashed a torrent of creativity. I began painting with oil on canvas, adopting a Naive style rich in intricate details. My work evolved through various periods, depicting everything from the stoic grace of Native American elders to whimsical fairies and the secret lives of animals in the forest. Each painting is a detailed universe, a reflection of my inner journey.

This same creative force birthed my book. Writing was a process of translating these vivid visual experiences into language. The story of Inbal and Noa is not just a fantasy; it is a textured reality constructed from my own mystical experiences, written with the same attention to detail and color that I apply to my canvas.

שמי וולטר גרציאני. נולדתי ב-1944 בטוסקנה, בעיירה שנקראת "גרווה אין קיאנטי" שבה מייצרים יין משובח. הייתי ילד עצוב, אינטליגנטי ומורד במוסכמות. תמיד עם ספר ביד, שאהב לצייר, וחלם להיות מתופף.

בנעוריי הגשמתי את החלום והפכתי אותו למקצוע. ניגנתי כמתופף באיטליה ולאחר מכן בקרוז שיצא מניו יורק לאיים הקריביים במשך כשנה. בהמשך, חייתי בלונדון, שם הופעתי עם להקה איטלקית בתוכנית הטלוויזיה המפורסמת “International Cabaret”.

למרות אהבתי למוסיקה, הרגשתי צורך לחקור עוד עולמות שבהם נפשי חפצה. מה שבהמשך הביא אותי ללמוד צילום, לבצע תפנית בחיי ולעשות עלייה לארץ ישראל. לאחר שנים רבות בארץ, אחרי שהתחתנתי והקמתי משפחה, גדלתי, התפתחתי ועסקתי בתחום הצילום שנים רבות.

בשנת 2000, מתוך רצון וקריאה להעצמה אישית, נרשמתי ללימודי ג'ין-שין, אקופרסורה, הילינג וטאו. במקביל, היה בי דחף ליצור ולצייר בצבעי שמן ובצבעים עזים.

באחד מן הימים בהם תרגלנו בבית הספר, התבקשתי לשמש כהילר ראשי. במהלך אותו טיפול חשתי שמשהו משתנה בתוכי. מסכת אנוביס הונחה על ראשי, על פניי. זה היה רגע עוצמתי ומוזר. אפשרתי לחוויה להתהוות וחשתי כיצד אני הופך לכהן מצרי. זה היה רגע של התעלות רגשית עמוקה שמעולם לא חוויתי. שם נפתח ליבי להרפתקאות חדשות... הרפתקאות אנוביס.

פתיחה רוחנית זו שחררה פרץ של יצירתיות. התחלתי לצייר בצבעי שמן על קנבס, בסגנון נאיבי העשיר בפרטים מורכבים. עבודתי התפתחה דרך תקופות שונות, מתארת הכל - החל מהאצילות של דמויות אינדיאניות ועד לפיות גחמניות וחייהם הסודיים של בעלי החיים ביער. כל ציור הוא יקום מפורט, השתקפות של המסע הפנימי שלי.

אותו כוח יצירתי הוליד את ספרי. הכתיבה הייתה תהליך של תרגום החוויות החזותיות העזות הללו לשפה. הסיפור של ענבל ונועה אינו רק פנטזיה; זוהי מציאות מרובדת שנבנתה מתוך החוויות המיסטיות שלי, ונכתבה באותה תשומת לב לפרטים וצבע שאני מעניק לקנבס שלי.
